Physical Health
Maintaining good physical health is crucial for creating an abundant life. Your health is irreplaceable, and you owe it to yourself to be your best, healthiest self.
Physical health can be explained as the normal functioning of the body.
The body represents one dimension of a person's total well-being.
It is essential to pay attention to how your body grows, feels, and moves. How you care for it and what you put into it are also key factors to wellness.
Physical health is closely linked to mental health and is an integral part of leading a healthy lifestyle and enjoying life. There are four pillars of health that I would like to bring to your attention: sleep (and its recovery), Nutrition, Physical Activity, and Connection.
The quality of regular Sleep impacts overall health and fitness. If you can sleep well, your physical health will benefit. Obtaining adequate sleep helps prevent excess weight gain, heart disease, and increased illness.
Nutrition impacts your body from the inside out. Hair, skin, nails, organs, and much more are nourished or not by what we put into our bodies.
You, indeed, are what you eat.
Staying active and not busy contributes to the body's fitness. Connections with other individuals who lead healthy lifestyles and can support yours are another key factor in maintaining wellness.
As I mentioned earlier, if you can dedicate 12 consecutive days to focusing on your physical health and developing Tiny Habits that will help shift your thoughts from negative thinking to consistent, deliberate practice, you will strengthen the neural pathways in your brain, resulting in more appealing outcomes each day.
Tiny Habits is a methodology developed by B.J. Fogg, Ph.D.
Tiny Habits is a technique that focuses on making small changes to achieve significant results over time. Once the momentum for change has been ignited, noticeable differences can be observed in a day, a week, and beyond.
Are you ready to shift? I can help. Together, we can make a greater difference in your life.
Let’s Shift
A Tiny Habit for Mental Health and the other areas that we shall review in the months to come, should have the following elements:
Simple- Ideally, “No equipment needed”. A habit can be completed, whether you’re at home, at school, at work, or on vacation.
Fast- It should take no more than 5 minutes to complete. Yes, 5 minutes.
The power in establishing a mindset habit, comes from doing it again, and again, and again, day after day after day.
For example, every morning that a look in the mirror, say to yourself, “Hello Gorgeous” with confidence and mean it from the heart.
This spoken word habit may sound ridiculously and not realistic, because it’s not the norm, it is not about feelings. It is about shifting the way you think, to produce a shift in the way the you feel.
Take 30 seconds or less each day, look in the mirror and say, “Hello Gorgeous”.
B.J. Fogg says; A new behavior happens when three elements come together at the same time:
1) Motivation
2) Ability
3) A New Prompt / A New Behavior to reset your brain, spirit, and body.
Then, Celebrate the Victories; celebrate yourself with regular little rewards.
These are the building blocks I am sharing with you.
Some habits created will become “building blocks” for other habits and eventually restructure and realign your mind, spirit, and body to be all that they can be in You.
A small habit is fast and straightforward, and it will grow into something positive.
It is my intention to Inspire Creative Changes that will enhance your inner capacity to Embrace Your Authentic Self Fully.
You deserve the best that this life has to offer, and I desire to see you with all of it.
Please let me know how your Tiny Habit adjustments are progressing.
